Links between reading and writing

I have been asked by a couple of parents about when students should start writing and if it is more important than reading. Both go together, and should be part of a combined approach throughout our education.
I’ve prepared a short introduction into the links between reading and writing, available here. I will also be posting some more information about writing over the next few weeks.
